Keith Davies - Chief Executive Officer
Keith has over 35 years management experience across private and government sectors in Australia and the UK with a particular focus on project delivery and corporate leadership in the resources, energy and water industries up to and including CEO level.
Keith joined Sydney Desalination in August 2012 as its inaugural CEO and now heads up a team managing the company through a number of financial and technical challenges to deliver value to its shareholders, Teacher’s and Hastings Funds Management, whilst ensuring that the asset is always ready to play its part in securing drinking water for the 4.5 million residents in the greater Sydney region.
Justin De Lorenzo - Chief Financial Officer
Justin joined Sydney Desalination Plant as Chief Financial Officer in April 2015. Prior to that Justin was the Group Chief Financial Officer Networks NSW, the owner of the electricity distribution network in New South Wales. He was previously Executive General Manager Finance and IT for Essential Energy and also held lead finance executive roles with Country Energy and Advance Energy.
Justin has 31 years of professional experience including the past 17 years as a CFO in the NSW energy industry. Prior to that Justin headed up Strategic Planning at a major energy company based in Melbourne and was a Senior Manager at KPMG in the Corporate Finance business dealing with mergers and acquisitions, business valuations and forensic accounting. Justin’s career at KPMG included a 2 year secondment to the KPMG Toronto office.
Justin has a Bachelor of Commerce, (University of Melbourne), is a Chartered Accountant, and a Senior Fellow of Financial Services Institute of Australia.
Gavin Ovens - Executive General Manager of Operations
Gavin Ovens joined Sydney Desalination Plant in October 2012. Gavin comes to SDP from the consulting industry whereby he has operated his own water consulting business for the last 8 years. Gavin has over 25 year’s water industry experience both in Australia and overseas and focused on infrastructure projects and operational management of water supply systems and recycled water schemes.
He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the University of Technology Sydney and a Masters of Business from the Australian Graduate School of Business.
Lisa Welsh - Executive Manager Regulatory and Commercial
Lisa Welsh joined Sydney Desalination Plant in September 2014. Lisa was previously the Executive Manager Corporate Affairs with the State Water Corporation, responsible for regulatory affairs, business planning, human resources and communications.
Lisa has 15 years experience in the government and water sectors, having previously worked as NSW Treasury as well as the NSW Office of Water where she led the NSW Government’s response to the Guide to the Murray Darling Basin Plan. Lisa has successfully project managed State Water’s pricing determinations under the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal and, most recently, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
